Fundraising as Worship

Every approach I take begins with something fundamental: prayer. I recognize that I do not bring enough to the table on my own to ask for major or transformational gifts. But I trust that He can favor me—so that the kingdom of God may expand through my efforts. The strategy, the approach, and even the stewardship phase of fundraising are never successful without His favor. I am not merely a fundraiser; I am a servant of His kingdom, fully dependent on His inspiration. My role is to listen, to obey, and to reflect His heart in every ask, every report, and every relationship.

The Journey of Generosity
Approaching Major Gifts

Phase 1:
Discovery &

Alignment

I begin by listening. This stage is about understanding the donor’s story—what moves them, what they value, and how they envision making a difference. Through intentional conversations, I explore alignment between their philanthropic goals and our mission. It’s not about asking; it’s about connecting.

“What do you care about most? Let’s build from there.”

Phase 2:
Cultivation &

Trust

We build a relationship, not a transaction.
Here, we deepen the connection through shared experiences—site visits, impact stories, and meaningful updates. We invite donors into the heart of our work, showing them how their support could transform lives. Trust is built through transparency, responsiveness, and genuine care.

“You’re not just funding a project—you’re becoming part of a legacy.”

Phase 3:
Invitation &
Commitment

We extend the opportunity to give. When the time is right, we present a tailored proposal that reflects the donor’s values and desired impact. This is a collaborative moment, not a pitch. We honor the donor’s decision-making process and provide clarity, respect, and space.

“Your gift is a catalyst. Let’s shape the future together.”

Phase 4:
Stewardship &
Celebration

We nurture the relationship beyond the gift.
Stewardship is where gratitude meets accountability. We provide timely updates, celebrate milestones, and ensure the donor sees the ripple effect of their generosity. Every touchpoint reinforces their importance to our mission.

“Your impact continues. Let us show you how.”

Phase 5:
Renewal &
Legacy

We invite continued partnership.
Whether through renewed support, planned giving, or deeper involvement, we explore ways to sustain the relationship. For many donors, this phase becomes a legacy—an enduring mark of faith, compassion, and purpose.

“Together, we’re building something that lasts.”
